TITLE: Azure Cloud Administrator

LOCATION: Burbank, CA 91505 (moving from North Hollywood, Ca by Nov 1, 2024 (Hybrid)

     Optional Locations: Nevada, AZ, Washington, Idaho

SALARY: $150-$160K DOE

REPORTS TO: Dir. IT (that DKKD Staffing staffed)

Job Summary:

As an Azure Cloud Administrator, you will be responsible for the administration, configuration, and maintenance of our Microsoft Azure cloud environment. You will ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of cloud-based services and applications. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Azure services, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have the experience they need to hit the ground running. No learning curve.
• 100% in charge of all aspects (Architecting, Engineering, Administration of Azure Cloud and managing going forward).
• No people management.
• Work with CIO and Director we (DKKD Staffing) staffed.
• Goal is to be complete/ go live before Nov 1, 2024.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Manage and administer the Microsoft Azure cloud environment, including provisioning, configuration, performance monitoring, policy governance and security.
• Design, develop, and implement highly available, multi-region solutions within Microsoft Azure
• Analyze existing operational standards, processes, and/or governance to identify and implement improvements.
• Migrate existing infrastructure services to cloud-based solutions.
• Manage security and access controls of cloud-based solutions.
• Develop and implement policy driven data protection best practices to ensure cloud solutions are protected from data loss.
• Support cloud adoption of applications as they are being transformed and/or modernized.
• Ensure all infrastructure components meet proper performance and capacity standards.
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call to address and resolve technical escalations.

Education/Training Responsibilities:

• Adhere to the requirements for continuing education as outlined in the Quality Control Manual.
• Complete all assigned training courses within the stated timelines.

Education and Experience:

Required:

• Highschool degree/GED and 5+ years relevant experience.

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s degree in related field and 5+ years relevant experience.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• 2+ years of Microsoft Azure experience involving design, deployment, configuration and optimization.
• 2+ years of experience with IaaS and PaaS solutions
• Experience in the design and operation of medium to large scale enterprise infrastructure, databases and application systems.
• Experience working within an Agile framework.
• Site recovery
• Experience scripting with PowerShell.
• Proficient with GIT to perform source code management.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, App service, SQL service, virtual networks, App gateway.
• Experience with Jira
• Competence in a wide range of IT skills including networking, systems administration, data protection, information security and CI/CD tooling.
• Enthusiastic learner with the ability to teach and mentor teammates and cross functional partners.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a keen attention to detail

Preferred Skills and Abilities:

• SQL DBA
• Microsoft Endpoint Administration

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
