OVERVIEW:

This is a Roll Up Sleeves Technical leader role with backend and front-end experience.

Looking for a seasoned Technical Program Manager who is technically hands-on and can switch gears to lead our client’s team in planning, executing, and delivering our dynamic technical projects. As a Director of Technical Program Management, you will be instrumental in aligning the technical endeavors with organizational goals, ensuring not only timely delivery but also upholding the highest standards of quality.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Strategic Project Planning:
  • Develop comprehensive project plans that meticulously outline scope, goals, timelines, and resource requirements.
  • Lead cross-functional teams with precision, ensuring seamless execution in line with established plans.
• Risk Management and Troubleshooting:
  • Vigilantly monitor project progress, identifying potential risks, and implementing strategic mitigation strategies.
  • Demonstrate adeptness in troubleshooting technical issues, making informed decisions to keep projects on track.
• Technical Guidance and Support:
  • Provide invaluable technical guidance and continuous support to project teams, fostering a collaborative and innovative working environment.
• Transparent Communication:
  • Regularly update stakeholders on project status, milestones, and key deliverables, maintaining transparency and clear communication channels.
  • Document all relevant project information comprehensively, ensuring accessibility for all team members.
• Risk Identification and Mitigation:
  • Proactively identify potential risks and challenges associated with projects, taking preemptive measures to ensure project success.
• Continuous Learning Culture:
  • Cultivate a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the team, encouraging growth and innovation.

REQUIREMENTS

• A minimum of 10 years of Technical Project Management experience in eCommerce.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering).
• Proven experience as a Technical Program Manager or in a similar role.
• Strong project management skills, demonstrating the ability to plan, execute, and monitor projects effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities.
• Solid technical background with a thorough understanding of the technologies involved in the projects.
• Recent eCommerce, D2C (Direct to Consumer) and WooCommerce experience
  • eComm space with experience of selling goods to customers rather than SaaS.
  • CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) eCommerce
• A roll-up-the-sleeves technical leader
  • A candidate who has both deep technical knowledge and the ability to convey complex concepts and decisions to the rest of the organization.
  • Somebody who can switch gears from rolling up sleeves with the tech team to communicating with the business units for high-level details.
  • Somebody who can have a conversation with the tech team as the technology leader role and then with members of the organization outside of his/her team.
  • A technical leader who can roll up their sleeves and dive into the various systems implementation projects without a significant learning curve.
• Experience in the right sweet spot of eCommerce companies that earn 100M-400M in revenue. (A candidate who has worked at a huge organization may not be the right candidate given they might have had a small focus and don’t see the big picture or vice versa they are too big picture that they can’t be at all hands on)

TECHNOLOGIES REQUIRED:

• Excellent expertise in WooCommerce, PHP, and Shopify.
• Proficiency in the marketing/commerce analytics domain & tools such as Google Analytics.
• Understanding of data engineering and analytics services on Azure.
