JOB OVERVIEW:

The primary function for the IT Operations Manager is the management, coordination and oversight of the technical operations and production activities of the IT Operations team including the infrastructure, applications and telecommunications engineers and the help desk and technical support staff.

REQUIRED Education: BS/BA college degree

Preferred Technical Certifications: MCSA, MCSE, CCNA, CCIE

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manages the implementation, installation and operation of information and functional systems for the organization
• Implements and monitors management information systems policies and controls to ensure data accuracy, security and legal and regulatory compliance
• Provides support to end users in the selection, procurement, usage and maintenance of computing software programs and hardware
• Organizes and reviews task assignment of IT Operations staff
• Reviews reports of computer and peripheral equipment production, malfunction, and maintenance to determine costs and impact to effectively address problems
• Recommends and coordinates IT department resources to effectively manage helpdesk, system/network/telecom administration, AS/400 operations and document scanning functions
• Responsible for uptime of company computing/network/telecom/AV equipment
• Responsible for equipment and computing facility for corporate and remote offices
• Oversees development, maintenance and regular testing of disaster recovery and business continuity plans
• Develops short- and long-term goals for Information Technology staff
• Oversees development and adherence to departmental policies and procedures
• Interviews, selects, ensures orientation, training and when necessary, disciplines and/or discharges departmental personnel
• Accountable to respond, communicate and work outside of regular business hours when unexpected staffing and/or equipment issues arise

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 6 years of progressive information systems and technology experience
• 4 years direct management experience of local and remote engineers and technicians
• Significant MS Windows operating system and related application experience
• Significant Microsoft Windows server operating system and related configuration experience including server clustering, virtualization (hyper-v) and management, storage area networks, remote desktop services, terminal services hosts and a broad range of application experience (RightFax, SalesForce, Achlemy)
• Microsoft Exchange Server 2016, multi-site database availability group (DAG), Mobile Device Management
• Significant Cisco, routing switching and advanced networking experience with routing protocols
• Excellent organizational and communication, written and verbal skills
• Proven ability to manage, schedule and assess helpdesk and technical support staff
• Ability to understand cost effective management of technical functions, strong vendor relationship management and negotiation skills
