TITLE: IT Security Analyst (You may see this posted as Jr. Network Security Analyst or IT Security Engineer as well)

LOCATION: Valencia/ Santa Clarita, CA (client will not consider relocation)

• MUST work 100% onsite 

REPORTS TO: Manager of IT Ops (DKKD Staffed)

SALARY RANGE: $80K-$85K

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent training preferred

REQUIREMENTS:

• MUST be US Citizen or Permanent Resident Green Card
• MUST work 100% onsite and live locally already – no relocation
• Minimum 2 years of IT systems security experience
• Current Certification(s) in Information Security (Comp TIA Security+, CISA, GIAC Security Essentials, Certified Ethical Hacker) preferred.
• Significant experience with Windows Server, 2012, 2016, 2019 in a virtualized and high availability clustered environment.
• Significant experience with Microsoft AD and Exchange 2016 and newer versions.
• PowerShell scripting.
• Experience with firewalls, data encryption, desktop, and server security techniques.
• Familiarity with compliance protocols associated with the health insurance portability and accountability act (HIPPA), PCI compliance and security standards and acceptance and secure management of Protected Health Information (PHI) preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with staff at every level in the organization.

JOB OVERVIEW:

Looking for a Network Security Analyst to help our client ensure organizational cyber security and data risk exposure is minimized for the electronic information systems.   The role’s primary responsibility is implementing, configuring, and managing the company’s suite of security applications and keeping endpoints current with system and security updates.  The IT Security Analyst will also work in tandem with IT Operations engineers and management as required.

• Research and train on existing information security tools and become a subject matter expert.
• Assist in managing all security tools (e.g. firewalls, data encryption, desktop security, server advanced security, anti-malware, ransomware, and DNS filtering). Provide daily monitoring and reports.
• Monitor the organization’s network for security breaches and investigate violations when they occur.
• Perform timely and thorough regular release and emergency security patch management enterprise wide.
• Maintain and adhere to the company’s cyber security plan, including supporting regular disaster recovery and penetration testing.
• Help to continuously improve security standards and best practices for the organization.
• Research the latest security trends and recommend enhancements to senior Security Engineers and IT Operations Management.
• Assist computer technicians and end users when they must learn about or install new security products and/or procedures.
• Conduct scheduled and ad-hoc IT security audits at the direction of the IT Operations Manager.
• Participate in security incident management.  Create security incident communications on behalf of the IT Operations Manager for distribution to IT Management and external business customers.
• Prepare and document postmortem reviews of issues or incidents.  Research and submit best practice recommendations for procedural resolutions.
