JOB TITLE: Manager, IT Operations

Location: Corporate Headquarters in Newport Beach, Ca
On-site Hybrid or Remote: Hybrid

Size of Staff: 3-4
Supervisory Responsibility: Direct system administrators, engineers, and network administrators.
JOB SUMMARY
Lead the IT operations teams made up of system administrators, engineers, and network administrators.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Set direction, follow policies, service level agreements, and guidelines for all functions-related operations to increase operational efficiency while ensuring system responsiveness.
- Responsibility for ensuring cost effective and accurate delivery of business operations technology and systems solutions to support the diversified business.
- Work with DevOPS and Development teams for configuration / deployments.
- Manage on-premise, cloud data centers with direction of keeping company asset light.
- Act always in the best interests of the organization to introduce, update and maintain audit and other controls in systems and technology operations to minimize risk, ensure compliance with all federal agency and banking rules and regulations governing the industry and its products.
- Work closely with compliance, infosec and risk to ensure all operations are in accordance with all applicable regulatory rules and regulations.
- Lead a geographically diversified team. Develop and execute a workforce plan to meet business goals. Interview, hire, set high performance standards and manage team performance in accordance with all applicable HR policies and procedures. Create an energized work environment, fostering an atmosphere that enables employee trust and engagement. Inspire confidence and motivate others to perform at their best. Develop and coach staff while effectively addressing performance issues.
- Develop close working partnerships with others throughout the organization, including but not limited to the key revenue generating business groups, as well as the corporate areas such as legal, risk, infosec, compliance, and human resources. Lead routine and ad-hoc meetings, communicate, discuss new, improved, changing products, services, processes, and associated supporting systems and technology.
- Manage the highest level of escalated systems issues. Brainstorm solutions with the teams and team leaders, and approve actions providing guidance and leadership as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

- 4+ years of experience as a Sr./Lead/Manager of Technology Operations
- Thorough knowledge of networks and cloud computing
- Technology and personnel leadership experience
- Technical work history should include:
- 6+ years of managing an enterprise Windows Server environment – Windows Server 2008/2012/2016
- Extensive experience with:
-
- Microsoft suite of applications, including clustering, SQL, AD, Windows
- Amazon Web Services (AWS) Ec2, VPC, S3 in Enterprise HA setting
- Routing and Switching
- Palo Alto Firewalls
- System Virtualization technologies
- High Availability, Business Continuity Planning, Disaster Recovery, and data Security concepts as they relate to Systems architecture.
- Datacenter design
- Load Balancing
- Linux is a plus

Availability
The 24/7 nature of the department requires as needed, the employee to work late nights and weekends with limited if any notice. The position also requires the employee to be on-call and reachable 24/7 unless accommodations have been made with their manager.
